Purpose: The purpose of this policy is to establish guidelines for C& N Higgins Construction ltd personal as well as all sub-contractors under C & N Higgins Construction ltd on all construction site to ensure that all construction activities are conducted in an environmentally responsible manner.
Scope: This policy applies to all construction activities carried out by C & N Higgins Construction ltd on all construction site and to all personnel under their control.
Policy:
1. Compliance with Environmental Legislation:
C & N Higgins Construction ltd is committed to complying with all applicable environmental legislation and regulations.

C & N Higgins Construction ltd will ensure that all personnel under their control are aware of their responsibilities in relation to environmental protection, and that they receive appropriate training to carry out their duties in an environmentally responsible manner.

Waste Management Policy
Purpose: The purpose of this policy is to establish a comprehensive waste management program that reduces the generation of waste, promotes the reuse and recycling of materials, and ensures the safe disposal of all waste produced by C & N Higgins Construction Ltd. This policy will guide the implementation of waste reduction strategies across our operations, with the goal of reducing our environmental footprint and protecting the health and well-being of our employees and the communities in which we operate.
Scope: This policy applies to all employees, contractors, and visitors to our projects, as well as our waste collection facilitators, this includes hazardous and non-hazardous waste.
Policy:
1. Waste Reduction: We will strive to reduce the amount of waste generated by our operations by implementing measures such as:
- Promoting the use of reusable containers and packaging materials.
- Encouraging the use of electronic documents and communication to reduce paper waste.
- Implementing energy-efficient practices to reduce the amount of waste generated by our energy consumption.
- Educating employees and stakeholders on waste reduction and recycling.
2. Waste Segregation: We will segregate waste into appropriate categories to facilitate reuse, recycling, and disposal. We will implement the following measures to ensure effective waste segregation:
- Provide clearly labelled waste receptacles for diverse types of waste.

4. Hazardous Waste Management: We will manage hazardous waste in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations, Such as SHWW Chems Agents Regs 2001-2021 & SHWW Carcinogens Regs 2001-2019. We will implement the following measures to ensure effective hazardous waste management:
- Identify and segregate all hazardous waste generated by our operations.
- Implement appropriate storage, labelling, and handling procedures for hazardous waste.
- Educate employees and contractors on how to effectively manage hazardous waste.
- Partner with licensed hazardous waste disposal companies to ensure the proper disposal of hazardous waste is complete.
5. Continuous Improvement: We will regularly review and improve our waste management program to ensure that it is effective and efficient. We will implement the following measures to ensure continuous improvement:

Health and Safety Policy
At C & N Higgins Construction Ltd, we believe that the health and safety of our employees and contractors is of paramount importance. Employees and contractors are responsible for following all health and safety policies and procedures and for reporting any hazards or safety concerns to their supervisor immediately.
3. Hazard Identification and Control:
We will identify and assess hazards at each construction site and implement appropriate measures to control or eliminate them. This may include providing personal protective equipment, implementing engineering controls, and developing safe work procedures.
4. Training and Education:
We will provide training and education to all employees and contractors on health and safety policies and procedures, hazard identification and control, and emergency response procedures.
5. Emergency Preparedness:
We will establish and maintain emergency response procedures for each construction site, including evacuation procedures, first aid procedures, and emergency contact information.
6. Compliance:
We will comply with all applicable health and safety regulations and will continuously monitor and improve our health and safety practices.
7. Review:
